Nancy Marshall was born and raised a farmer's daughter in the small town of Westport, MA off the coast of the Atlantic. She is now a Cape Cod resident living in Brewster, who takes delight in the wonderful images of the New England seasons and our natural environment in all its beauty.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Brewster Ladies’ Library. Please call the Library at (508) 896-3913 before coming, due to the exhibition room sometimes being in use for a program and not open for viewing.

Daffodil Weekend [more]

From the first Daffodil Show on Nantucket in 1974, the festival has grown to include many more activities, and surely more daffodils. The tradition was first sponsored by the Nantucket Garden club and was highlighted by the planting of daffodils along Milestone Road. The group had a goal of someday reaching one million daffodils. With the help of island residents and professional landscapers, that goal has been far surpassed. It is estimated from early April to mid-May, three million daffodils bloom and help to decorate present-day Nantucket.  One of the many Highlights of the weekend is the:

• 43rd Annual Daffodil Flower Show
This event, sponsored by the Nantucket Garden Club and American Daffodil Society, features exhibits in photography, art and horticulture. Admission for this event is free.

Proceeds from the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival events have supported island organizations and island non-profits for the past 20 years. Our mission now is to focus on Nantucket Island Youth. With our Culinary Arts Mentoring Program, we provide speakers, visiting chefs, field trips and paid student employment opportunities. The annual NWF Junior Top Chef Competition directly supports the Nantucket High School Culinary Arts Scholarship Fund.
